Francesco d'Amore, MD
Francesco d'Amore received his medical degree in 1980 from the University of Genoa, Italy. He was a Resident at the University of Genoa from 1980 to 1982. He worked as a Research Fellow in the Department of Haematology and Pathology at the University Hospital of Odense, Odense, Denmark, from 1990 to 1994. He then completed a Post-Doctoral Research Associate position at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE, USA.
On his return to Denmark in 1996, Professor d'Amore was appointed to the position of Senior Registrar at Aarhus University Hospital, where, since 1999, he has also held the position of Consultant Haematologist, with responsibility for the lymphoma unit. In January 2010, he was appointed Clinical Professor in malignant lymphoproliferative diseases in the Department of Haematology at Aarhus University Hospital.
Professor d'Amore's research interests include non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), with particular focus on T-cell lymphomas (TCLs) as well as Hodgkin lymphoma (HL). He is currently Chairman of the Working Group on TCLs and a member of the Coordinating Committee of the Nordic Lymphoma Group.
